About PDF and PNG
PDF pages are rendered directly at your selected resolution, including vector text and graphics. PNG preserves the rendered pixels without lossy compression. Higher DPI creates more pixels, but cannot restore detail missing from scanned pages. Large pages may require a lower DPI to fit device memory; resolution is never silently reduced.
Frequently asked questions
Which settings keep text clear?
Use PNG at 300 DPI for sharp text without JPEG artifacts. For very small text, try 600 DPI if your device can handle the page size. Export dimensions are based on the PDF page size, not your screen resolution.
Can this improve blurry scanned PDFs?
No. Higher resolution preserves vector detail, but enlarging a low-resolution scan cannot recreate missing text or image detail.
Can I convert multiple or password-protected pages?
Yes. Enter a password you know to open an encrypted PDF. Select up to 20 pages per batch and download them together. Very large outputs are limited to protect browser memory; use smaller batches if needed.
